To commemorate the 200th birthday of the Bahá’u’lláh, a new 17-minute film has been produced to celebrate his life and teachings, entitled Bahá’u’lláh, the Divine Physician. Young people reflect on issues facing the world and the potential of Bahá’u’lláh’s teachings to address them. The action follows the daily activities of the young people as they participate in a Bahá’í-inspired youth group, and includes stories about Bahá’u’lláh and his teachings, told through animated sequences.
This will be most useful with 9-14s. Accompanying notes for teachers, with further information and ideas for extension activities are available at http://re.bahai.org.uk/bicentenary. The Baha’i faith may be studied as a local religious community and as a ‘worldview’.
If you would like to invite a local Bahá’í to visit your school, our East Riding SACRE member, Dr Sholeh Hakiman, has kindly offered to arrange this.
